Holiday Season 2011
           We are excited to share the news that our "Soap Shop" is OPEN!!! 
We are proud to be able to participate in selling some "Made in Michigan" products! Besides soap, we will have Soy Candles available.  Along with those we have bath salts, fizzies, lotion bars, gift basket and more items to follow in the near future.

We are now approaching winter once again. Breedings for the most part are done, fingers crossed, and we can settle into the season with hopeful thoughts of many aspiring new kids to be born in the spring. The boys are settling down somewhat and the girls are getting fat and sassy.

We became members of ANDDA for the first time this year. We are happy to be a part of the organization. Should have done it years ago! We would like to get back on a DHI milk test and possibly fit in Linear Appraisals as well. Those are the goals we have set for ourselves with our herd and hoping to accomplish them in the next year or two. Both the DHI and the LA's are valuable tools that one can use to evaluate their own herds and see where the strengths and weakness's occur.

Also, I have to say, a big Thank You goes out to Kaapio Acres. They have been so gracious in helping us achieve our goal on our breedings so that we can be where we are today. With a year or two of bringing in new breeding stock, I feel our kids from last year and this year are our future herd. It may have taken a couple of extra years, but patience does pay off. We are loving our "New Generation".
